The death of a friend or loved one can be one of the most difficult experiences that we face. There is no right or wrong way to grieve; we all do so in our own ways. Nor is there a right or wrong amount of visitation to their graves. Some visit every day, some visit once a year and some don't visit at all. Do what feels right for you.
Coping with such a loss can be more challenging than we realize or expect. Below are several resources to help you manage. Don't be afraid to use them.
We have all lost people we love, and we're all figuring it out as we go.

H.O.P.E. provides grief support mainly through in-person group meetings. They believe that this forum provides many positive advantages, not the least of which is being in a group surrounded by others going through the same ordeal as you. Additionally, all of their group leaders have lost their spouses or partners, so they understand your pain. The net result is a warm, comfortable, safe environment in which to learn about the many things you are facing, strategies for easing the pain, and an opportunity to share whatever you wish to share.
H.O.P.E. is a non-profit, state and federally registered 501(c)(3) organization, founded in 1978, and is not affiliated with any religious organization. There are chapters in multiple locations in seven counties in New Jersey, and they also offer virtual chapters via ZOOM for anyone in the United States needing grief support. H.O.P.E. is located in the Moorestown Community House at 16 E. Main Street, Moorestown, NJ,08057. For more information, call (856) 234-2200 or visit hopesnj.org. |
